Our sixth album of the summer is from Coliseum Mountain. A long trek in and out of the lynn headwaters valley, but rewarding views from the top of this massive piece of granite. We were able to see many of the other hikes we had done from here including Seymour, Dog and Goat Mountain.

Our fifth album of the summer is from Elfin Lakes / Mamquam Lake. Beautiful weather for our only full weekend trek of the summer. We covered an estimated 50km over the weekend, checking out the gargoyles, and the ridge overlooking Mamquam Lake. Definitely some amazing scenery with lots of Alpine and Moraine Terrain.

Our fourth album of the summer is from Brandywine Meadows. Lots of bugs, but gorgeous scenery and a loverly stream to cool off near the far end of the meadows. One day we'll have to go back and hike up to the peaks in behind as well.

Our third album of the summer is from Mount Seymour. My first time up Seymour in the summer, and my first time to the summit at 3rd pump. Definitely looks very different without the snow.

Our second album of the summer is from Flora Lake. Straight up the mountainside, into the pass, and down the other. Then back after lunch. Definitely a good cardio workout.

Our big planned summer of hiking is near an end, but that means it's time to put up some photos. Our first album of the summer is from Goat Mountain. We warmed up on the Grouse Grind, went over Dam Mountain, and finished with some nice view from the top of Goat Mountain.

Rovent 09 pictures are up. No giant snowcave this year, just a large wall on 2 sides of our camp. We were told this wall was intimidating, but we just thought it looked awesome with the christmas lights. It was easily visible day and night from almost anywhere in the field positioned on the far ridge.

Our annual snowcave camp up on Mt Seymour was a success. We awoke to beautiful sunshine in the morning after an amazingly quiet sleep inside our snowcave. Kyle from Coquitlam Search and Rescue came up later that night to visit, but his whistle blows were not heard inside the cave only 50 feet away! Oh the wonders of snow!

So the weekend of Feb 15-17th was Rovent, the annual scout camp I go to in manning park. Though this year we didn't go all hard core (took a camper and only stayed one night) the rest of our group built a huge snow cave to live in, Very cool! Over all it was a good weekend nice weather and good friends!

Guild Wars Random Screenshot of the Day is here! No one ever really cared about the Spam Watch. I was just curious about the numbers myself, and I never updated them very often. Now we have a screenshot of the day script. It automatically updates each day with a new random screenshot. Hooray low maintenance!

Geez, it's been a while. It's been busy around here, but I've not made any official announcements in the news. First, there's a couple new items in the sidebar. The Guild Wars Screenshot Database, as well as a little script in honour of a domain that has recently gone down. This little script will tell you the only thing you need to know when you're at work. Is It Friday? There should also be some photos up, but they're still in slide format, which makes it not so easy to get up on the site. That is all for now.

So we attempted to go up Eagle Mountain again this weekend. About the same time as last year. You'd think we'd learn. Once again, we encountered a few meters of snow left from winter and trail markers that eventually became buried in the snow preventing us from following them.

Despite the apparent success of the script, there's still a few kinks to work out. For one, I realized the script was not doing much in terms of image compression. As a result, the filesizes were huge. I have since fixed the script, but I still need to regenerate the galleries to ensure the filesizes are returned to a more reasonable size.

The photo gallery creation script is complete, and ready for its inaugural run. It will still need a touch of tweaking for users other than myself to use, but we should hopefully see a bunch of photo albums coming up as they'll be easier to post now!

Well, I have been hard at work making a new setup for the webserver. I'll spare the details, but I'm on the last legs before I can bring the new machines up and into the line of fire. The old machine has a hard drive which has been threatening to die for at least 6 months, so I've been wanting to retire that machine for some time.
Anyways, as a result, I am putting a freeze on the site until the new machine is up and running. There wasn't much going on anyways, so assuming the new machine makes it in relatively soon, there should be no issues. The reason for the freeze is I am making changes to some of the core site features to make it run a bit smoother on the server side. These changes are incompatible with the old setup, so if I make any changes to the old setup now, they'll be lost when I put the new machines in.

I have finally gotten around to adding some new albums to the site. The first is a camp up at Alouette Lake. The second is a few pictures from the Vancouver release of the most recent episode of Pure Pwnage. Also i'd like everyone to know that i now have a DeviantArt. Incase you didn't know deviant art is where artists can submit photography, poems, and other art.
