Event 6: Handcar Races

According to game rules, the Hollywood tribe is officially disbanded, and its players are split among the remaining teams.


Each team uses a railway handcar to move down a 200m track. The participant’s hands will be tied to the bar to promote team unity. The team with the best time wins protection from random execution.

Hugh Downs - This appears to be a rather calm event after yesterday's extremely bloody hill event. It should strengthen or fracture the teams in advance of the violent events planned for the last few days of survivor.
It's time to see what these teams are made of. The International team steps up, with Elton John as the starter and the rest as the handcar men. With this team all fairly balanced in strength and height, this team should do well.
[Crack]

Hugh Downs - They are off to a slow start, thanks to weak old Elton John. However, they are pumping hard and picking up velocity in the second part of the course. They are flying now. As they approach the finish line, they are sweating down their bodies, but they have scored a decent time, 28 seconds.

Hugh Downs - New York is up next. With their rival team dissolved and themselves weakened, they look to stave off elimination if they can. Unfortunately they lack muscle and haven't a hope.

[Crack]

Jennifer Anniston gives them a push off, better than Elton John, but it isn't going to do it, they are much slower than the international musclemen. They cruise down the track, and finish with a time of 40 seconds.

The zombie team starts with the pushing power of Napoleon and Merlin, Merlin giving the car a magical boost. The team is pumping hard thanks to Agamemnon and Pompey.

Richard Nixon cant keep up with the pace... his arms have been ripped right off! They lose some speed and this will be close. Their time is... 29 seconds. Close, but no cigar.
